1970s Clobber of London plaid two piece set by Mindy Malone, New York. A fabulous original set combining orange and white gingham with panels of multicoloured plaid in green, blue, yellow and orange.
The cropped top has a fitted shape with a pointed collar, button front and long sleeves. Light gathering at the shoulders gives the sleeves a softly shaped finish. Contrasting plaid is used through the centre front, collar and back panel.
The matching maxi skirt sits high on the waist and falls into a long flowing silhouette. Diagonal sections of plaid are worked through the gingham. The lower skirt opens into a flared hem. The back zip is cleverly positioned on the diagonal to follow the plaid design allowing it to blend neatly into the design.
