1970s red halter set by Francoise Sydney featuring a cropped halter top and coordinating high-waisted midi skirt. Made from smooth synthetic jersey with a soft sheen, the fabric has a fluid drape that moves beautifully when worn.
The halter top has a deep V neckline with gentle gathering beneath the bust and a layered triangular panel at the centre front. Long ties fasten behind the neck and across the back, allowing the fit to be adjusted through the bust and underband.
The skirt sits high on the waist and is fitted smoothly across the hips before falling into a flared midi silhouette. Curved and diagonal panel seams shape the skirt and create additional movement through the lower half. A side zip and button fastening secure the waistband.
The rich warm red colour gives the set a strong 1970s evening look. Although designed to be worn together, both pieces can also be styled separately. The halter top would pair well with high-waisted trousers or jeans, while the skirt could be worn with a fitted knit, blouse or simple camisole.
Labelled Francoise Sydney, this original Australian-made 1970s red halter set has a flattering, feminine shape with distinctive geometric detailing and a fluid finish.
