Rare 1950s two piece set crafted from a soft pale grey brushed knit and finished with genuine mink fur trim. The set includes a pullover top and coordinating straight skirt.
The top features a wide fold-over portrait collar, heavily decorated with individual mink fur pieces in natural cream, taupe, grey and brown tones. The mink is arranged in a feather like pattern across the neckline and continues around the flared three quarter sleeves.
The matching skirt has a straight, below the knee shape with further mink fur appliqué placed around the hem. A narrow glimpse of the waist is visible when the two pieces are worn together, emphasising the elastic waist.
The brushed knit has a soft, fuzzy surface and a lightweight feel. Both pieces can also be worn separately, with the top pairing well with tailored trousers or a plain pencil skirt.
