Late 1960s Maglia Original two piece set comprising a sleeveless wool mini dress and matching longline fringed vest. Made from pure new wool, both pieces feature a repeating floral pattern in lilac and deep plum.
The mini dress has a straight, lightly shaped silhouette with a short hemline and small splits at each side. A deep V neckline is finished with black leather lacing threaded through bronze tone metal eyelets. The fringed vest sits slightly longer.
Both pieces retain their original Maglia Original labels. The dress also has a Pure New Wool Woolmark label and an original SW size tag. The Woolmark label and older SW sizing support a late 1960s date.
The wool mini dress and vest can be worn together as the original set or styled separately. The dress also works without the vest, while the longline vest can be layered over a plain dress, knit or trousers.
